SPIRIT WEEK

Welcome to Spirit Week!  June 1-6, 2020

Each day we are providing an idea of how we at SOTH can encourage, celebrate, and spread love while social distancing. While we are eager to share our SOTH Spirit beyond our building in this fun and unique way, we ask you to be respectful of social distancing. While masks are not required, they are encouraged.

“Sign Sunday” May 31:

IMPORTANT SPIRIT WEEK UPDATE: In this time of uncertainty we are in, the mail is no exception to the rule. Our delivery of yard signs that were going to start our Spirit Week (see below) off has been delayed. So instead, Spirit Week will now start on Monday June 1 with "Miss You Monday". We will update you when our shipment arrives.

***POSTPONED*** Have you ever wanted to have control over SOTH’s reader board? Well, now is your chance. We invite you to swing by church Sunday between the hours of 12-2pm and pick up a yard sign to take home and decorate with an encouraging message or drawing. Then, bring it back to church and put it in the grassy area under the SOTH reader board. (Please have signs returned by Saturday June 6th) Signs will be left up for a couple of weeks to encourage one another and our community.

“Miss You Monday” June 1:

We understand and agree, it’s been hard to not see one another during this time. A note from a friend or loved one can surely lift spirits. We encourage you to send a note or card to someone you have been missing.

“Tie it Tuesday” June 2:

Throughout Tuesday, we invite you to come by church and tie a ribbon to the cross. The cross will be sitting outside by the covered main entrance. No need to bring any supplies, it will all be provided. You will choose a ribbon from the color chart and tie it onto the cross frame as you say a prayer. Each color will represent a different prayer. The cross will be left out to share with the community.

“Wilderness Wednesday” June 3:

Throughout the day we welcome you to come to church and walk around our property praying for our community in a time of prayer and reflection. We invite you to bring and hide a painted rock (beauty bark areas only please) and take one home with you.

“Thankful Thursday” June 4:

Help us build a garden of thankfulness. Swing by the church Thursday between the hours of 5-7pm. We are asking everyone to write down something they are thankful for on a paper flower (provided). The flowers will then be placed in the windows of the building to be shared with our community.

“Fellowship Friday” June 5:

Miss chatting in the Fellowship Hall after service? Us too! We encourage you to call someone you have not heard from in a while.

 “Senior Saturday” June 6:

Josh Martin is SOTH’s solo High School Senior. Come to church Saturday to celebrate Josh with a parade! Start lining up at 4:30pm in the church parking lot and the parade will start at 5pm.  Please stay in your cars. Josh is graduating from Puyallup High School. We encourage you to decorate your cars or simply come by for a wave. (PHS school colors are purple & gold)
